    This Workshop "Backstage Crew Orientation" will be led by Joe Selikov, the master at keeping all of our productions running smoothly.  We aptly call him, "no show without Joe" because his wealth of experience and ability to juggle many things at once is truly amazing.  Learn from one of the very best at this one day only opportunity.

    This workshop is designed to provide those interested in working backstage, an inside look at what it takes to put on a stage production.

    This includes:

    • Common Stage nomenclature
    • Intro to theater tasks and responsibilities
    • Intro to Audio, Lights, sightlines
    • How to handle microphones
    • Handling Props and set pieces
    • Tour of backstage and controls
    • Tour of Booth – Audio, Lights

    Participants will have a chance to work backstage at the PAC for the Theatre Guild production of Sex Please in April 2026.

    Date, Time & Location: Monday's February 9, 16 & 23rd, 2-4pm, Music Room at the PAC (CH3)

    Brief Description: This three part fun and interactive class is designed to make Shakespeare accessible, playful and alive. Participants will explore how to unlock meaning , emotions and intent through monologue work using games, movement and group discovery rather than lecture. Each session is designed to build confidence, deepen connections and help actors find their own voice inside Shakespeare's words.

    Workshop Leader: Donna Valenti has a degree in theater and a love for Shakespeare. She has directed several shows for the Theatre Guild and has a passion for exposing more people to the joys of good theater.

    Fee: $10 (all workshops will include a materials fee)
